Phoenix housing market rebounding in some areas, report says, an article from The Business Journal of Phoenix, reports that according to The Phoenix Housing Market Letter published monthly by Phoenix-based RL Brown Housing Reports, new homes are starting to move with prices in some fringe area communities starting around $147,000 for a 1,600-square-foot home. The report stated, "New home prices are beginning to stabilize, especially for builders who blew out their inventories, repositioned products, wrote down excess and unrealistic land values, and generally responded to the market as it is, not as they wished it was." In some submarkets, resale activity has picked up, particularly in Sun City with dozens of closed sales in the past three months. Also, the Phoenix-area luxury market is doing well with 266 sales in November, December and January ranging in price from $1 million to $10 million.
