A sales center has just opened for 342 condominiums to be built at the Metropolitan of Chandler. The 14-acre, $100 million, mixed-use project will include luxury retail and offices immediately west of Chandler Fashion Center.
Designed as an urban village to attract people who want to live, work and play in one spot, the Metropolitan will wrap around the existing Windmill Inn hotel across from Nordstrom on the west side of the mall.
According to project manager Steve Earnhart of Calgary-based Statesman Corp., condos will range from the high $200,000s into the $600,000s, with condo sizes ranging from a one-bedroom unit with a den totaling 1,100 square feet to a three-bedroom unit of up to 2,000 square feet. Most of the two-bedroom condos range from 1,400 to 1,600 square feet.
Earnhart hopes to start building early this fall with completion of the first phase in a year. He said construction on the total project will probably take three years.
